After successfully completing a 2 year 2500 hour massage therapy program at KineConcept Institute in 2007, I became a member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) and a fully licensed practitioner.
As an RMT and during my intensive 2-year program, I’ve gained extensive experience in the anatomy, pathologies, neurology and physiology of the human body while expanding my massage theory and practice courses. I was also trained in myofascial release, sports massage, hot stone therapy and neuromuscular techniques.
I am a part-time massage therapist and have a full-time office job. I find this helps me relate and understand the pain clients present from the stress and discomfort of a desk job. I like to gear my treatments towards the strengthening of the postural muscles and to help relieve tension with deep tissue massage. Working together with home care exercise, postural awareness and regular treatment can help heal and rejuvenated muscles and help reach each client goals. I also work with pregnant women throughout their pregnancies to make that wonderful experience an even better one with the least amount of pain possible.
The human body never reacts the same way and I love the challenge of working with clients to find the root cause of their pain, and work together to achieve their goals.
